10/20/2016

A debate ′Low-carbon transformation — a recipe for the increase in competitiveness and innovativeness of the economy′ will be held in the head office of the Polish Press Agency on October 24th, 2016. Roman Szwed, President at Atende, will participate as one of the panelists.

The issue of transforming the economy into a lower-carbon one constitutes one of the most significant economic and environmental challenges for Poland. Apart from the benefits for the environment, its welcome result is the strengthening of economic stability, increase in the economy’s competitiveness at an international level and improvement in the population’s living standards. The discussion aims to find an answer to the question about further directions in which technological development in the Polish energy sector should go and to find ways of avoiding the threats related to that. The participants will talk about reducing carbon emissions, low-carbon technologies and barriers to practical implementation of low-carbon transposal, among other topics.
