A new company in the Atende Group

On December 21st, 2015 Atende S.A. signed an agreement to acquire 60% of shares in Energy Data Lab Sp. z o.o. (EDL). EDL is involved in advanced data analytics with the use of proprietary tools.

The total cost of acquisition of shares and subscription of new shares amounted to PLN 1.4 million. After registering the acquired shares Atende will control 54.6% of the share capital of EDL. Atende has further committed to acquire in June 2016 new shares with the issue value of PLN 0.5 million, after which ownership will increase to 60%.

Energy Data Lab specialises in advanced analysis of large amounts of data from different sources, often referred to as Big Data. Their business is focused on the energy sector, where the company’s solutions give customers the added value of tools for raising customer loyalty, promoting energy efficiency, energy demand management and optimisation of sales processes. The company is the only software partner in the GreenEvo initiative, under which the Ministry of Environment promotes Polish developers of green technologies.

The acquisition of Energy Data Lab expands our wide range into the energy market strategic for us. The company has reaffirmed its unique competences by the completed deployment projects in building customer relations of an energy operator and improving the energy efficiency. Services and technologies developed by Energy Data Lab aim to generate new value-added services, based on advanced analysis of energy measurement data. Therefore, during the process of finding a strategic partner we paid special attention to a potential investor’s offering addressed to the energy sector and the scale of successfully completed implementations of projects involving the acquisition of energy measurement data. We decided to become part of the Atende Group, which companies form a coherent offer for the power industry.
