Lithuanian Elgama will use Phoenix Systems software

Phoenix Systems, an Atende company involved in the development of the operating system (Phoenix-RTOS) for the Internet of Things, signed an agreement with Elgama Elektronika on the use of the software for measuring instruments.

ELGAMA ELEKTRONIKA based in Vilnius is a leading manufacturer of electricity meters in the Baltic countries. The agreement between the parties includes a license for the use of state-of-the-art Phoenix-PRIME software in a new line of smart meters and other products designed for the Smart Grid market. Phoenix-PRIME is the world’s first fully software PRIME protocol implementation (Powerline Intelligent Metering Evolution), which guarantees the efficiency of data transmission through power lines in smart measurement systems. Currently, the PRIME standard is widely used in state-of-the-art smart electricity meters in Spain, Brazil, Australia and Poland.
