Atende wins contract from Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences

Atende won the tender for conversion and fitting of the server room and the UPS room in the headquarters of the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences. The tender procedure was initiated as part of a programme called ′Digital Research Space of Induced Seismicity for EPOS Purposes′. The programme will help collect and process seismic data from the whole country. The total value of the order won exceeds PLN 2 million gross.

Under the agreement, Atende will converse the server room and the UPS room so as to adapt them to tasks pursued in the project. Apart from construction and installation works, the Company will also fit the server room with appropriate infrastructure as well as matrices and servers.

The order acquired is part of project ′Digital Research Space of Induced Seismicity for EPOS Purposes′. The programme aims at providing the Polish science milieu with constant and safe access to advanced IT infrastructure, as well as enabling experts to conduct state-of-the-art research using information society technologies. It is also supposed to ensure entities seated in Poland connection with international science ICT networks.  

Atende won the contract in an open tender procedure. The Company plans to complete the project by the end of the year.  

′Digital Research Space of Induced Seismicity for EPOS Purposes′ is a project carried out by a science and industry consortium composed of the following entities:

1. Institute of Geophysics Polish Academy of Sciences

2. Academic Computer Centre CYFRONET AGH,

3. Główny Instytut Górnictwa,

4. Kompania Węglowa S.A.
